MOCHDRE thirds’ match with Northop was the club’s only fixture to survive the downpour, as they landed a superb eight wicket victory.

Northop were bowled out for 126 in the 43rd over, with eight catches including a superb low grab from Alastair Paterson, a diving effort from Andy Welden and a full length two handed grab of a ball hit hard to gulley from Reece Roberts. Sam Davies was the pick of the bowlers, taking a four wicket haul.

With the score on 53 for two, Sab Muthusamy and Andy Welden paired up for some measured match-winning cricket. Sab finished on a deserved 50 not out and Andy capped a good all round performance with 39.
