LLANRWST took the lion’s share of the spoils in their weekend clash with Llandudno seconds, who put in a brave performance against one of the favourites for the Division One crown.

Llanrwst’s key 65 run partnership between Scott Thomas and Aussie Tim Cummins was broken by a catch from Mike Kitchen at long off from Neil Gallagher’s ball, who along with Graham Boase restricted the Rwster’s batsmen.

A quick-fire 56 from Aled Hughes bumped up the Llanrwst total, as they declared on 191 for four in the 48th over, with Boase taking the remaining two overs.

Regular losses then haunted the Tudno line-up, with Shaun Kitchen anchoring the middle order with 47 before departing on 146 for six, as Llandudno saw out their remaining overs to take six points from the draw, ending on 153 for seven.
