A level results: Ysgol Bryn Elian

EXCELENT A level results were recorded by Ysgol Bryn Elian students this year, with almost 100% of students passing an more than 90% getting at least one A grade.

The same number of students also gained two or more A levels at grades A* to C, making the 2012 results significantly the best in the school’s history.

Particular congratulations went to Stephanie Barnes and Kai Davies who both scored an incredible 2 A*s and 3 A grades, Chloe Mancini who gained 2 A*, 2 As and 2 B’s, Ashley Rose who gained 3 As and a B and Becky Evans who gained 2 As, 2 Bs and a C.

Congratulations are also due to overseas student Donald Chen, who gained three A levels at grades A, B and E despite arriving at the school with limited English.

The Headteacher, Mrs Eithne Hughes said: “Congratulations to all our students for their successes in these important examinations. Bryn Elian students have once again demonstrated that the school successfully provides both academic success alongside broader achievements, through an innovative curriculum which embraces academic, vocational and extra-curricular opportunities.

Thanks go to all staff for their hard work and excellent teaching of the students. I wish all the students all the very best of luck for their continued studies.”

Mr Phil Capper, Chair of the school Board of Governors added his thanks to all staff for their hard work and hearty congratulations to all pupils on their phenomenal success on behalf of the Governing body.
