TWO goals in as many minutes gave improving Colwyn Bay a 2-0 victory at Ossett Town.

The Seagulls cemented their top ten status in the Evo-stik North table, and they have now lost just once in the seven games Alan Morgan has been in-charge.

The playoff hopefuls will look to continue their good run of form at home against Radcliffe Borough on Saturday (3pm).

Morgan, said: “It was a good win for us, a good day in the office and after two draws and a defeat it was good to get back to winning ways again.

“The pitch was bobbly and made good football difficult, but on the occasions we produced some we created chances.

” It would have been nice to score one or two more goals, but if you had offered me 2-0 and a clean sheet before the game I would have taken it.”

“We’ve got some good players not getting a game, but it is all about the squad and the players who are in the team at the moment know they have to stay switched on and perform because there are good players are waiting to get their chance.

“Sam Barnes is club captain and yet he has been on the bench for the last couple of games, but he is still a massive presence in the dressing room and a very valuable member of the squad, as are they all.”

After spurning a host of chances in the early exchanges, the away side went ahead on 31 minutes when Jack Hindle steered a shot into the net of the upright following a period of pressure.

This was swiftly followed by a second on 32 minutes when Louis Barnes finished off an impressive team move to double their advantage, and they managed to see the game out in comfortable fashion to seal another valuable three points on their travels.
