KINMEL Bay have announced that Andy Thomas will be taking over on a permanent basis after a turbulent week.

The newly promoted Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two side were dealt a hammer blow when Leon Field and Ryan Turner departed the club to take over at Huws Gray Alliance outfit Prestatyn Town, leaving a huge hole to fill in their backroom staff.

Thomas, who was part of the management structure that guided the reformed club to the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division championship, has now decided to go solo and will be primarily responsible for overseeing what are sure to be huge changes to personnel.

He has moved swiftly to strengthen the backroom staff, with Paul Moroney as first team coach, with the new addition bringing a wealth of experiences at high-profile clubs such as Rhyl and Conwy Borough.

Discussions are ongoing with a number of potential new signings after Ben Cawley, Ben Hoult, Jack Hoult and Dave Colling all following Field and Thomas to the Motion Finance Stadium.

Bay also confirmed that they are in the process of forming a Reserve team to compete in the Welsh Alliance Reserve League, and are urging anyone interested in taking part to come along to their pre-season training session on Monday, Jul2 from 6.30pm at Kinmel Bay Leisure Centre.

The senior squad have schedules a host of friendlies to ready themselves for a return to the fourth tier, with the likes of Llandudno Athletic, Prestatyn Sports, Meliden and Glan Conwy all confirmed.
