AN ASPIRING young skier continued her exceptional recent run of results at two nationally recognised competitions.

Agatha Favill, a Year 4 pupil at Rydal Penrhos School in Colwyn Bay, travelled to Scotland recently to take part in a pair of high-profile events featuring some of the best young talent in the country.

The eight-year-old managed to secure a podium finish with second place in the U10 Girls’ category at the Scottish Indoor Championships after turning in a series of consistent performances throughout a highly competitive competition.

She followed this feat with another strong showing at the latest leg of the GBR Series in Glasgow, where Agatha at the top of her game once again to earn third place in the U10 Girls’ event.

Agatha will look to continue her fine efforts in the series at the next leg in Pontypool this weekend, before it concludes at the Chill Factore in Manchester this month.

Her main ambition from the series is to secure a bursary to the British Ski Academy Alpine programme in Italy, which are awarded to the male and female racers with the most points accumulated during the 2018 GBR Series from their best three results at Indoor and Outdoor events.

This is the latest in a series of accolades for the Prep School pupil, who has progressed significantly in recent months to secure a plethora of regional and national competition successes.
