LLANDUDNO have confirmed the appointment of a new chairman following the resignation of Russ Austin.

The JD Welsh Premier League side announced that Robert Ford will take over at the helm with immediate effect, with Austin accepting an offer to become Tudno’s club president.

A club spokesman, said: “Robert has been a hugely influential figure at the club since his appointment as club director and has agreed to try and help the club continue to sustain its position in the Welsh Premier League, and look at progressing the club forward over the years.”

The top flight side also announced the arrival of Matt Wells as its new commercial director, with Derrick Orme joins the club as financial director.

“Derrick is vastly experienced in accounting in relation to football clubs and is a huge football fan and part time journalist for independent football publications and sports agencies,” added the spokesman.

Jonathan Morgan, current Headteacher at Ysgol y Gogarth has also agreed to come on to the board and assist with the youth development at the club, with Glyn Lister making a return to take on the position of club secretary.

The final reshuffle sees Sam Williams taking over from Doz Langley as director and general manager, who has decided to depart the boardroom after a hugely successful 18-year spell to focus on the club’s development behind the scenes.
