LLANDUDNO have further bolstered their squad with the signings of George Harry and John Owen.

The talented duo arrive at the Giant Hospitality Stadium ahead of the new JD Welsh Premier League season as manager Iwan Williams continues his huge squad overhaul for what will be his first full campaign at the helm.

Gifted youngster Harry joins the squad from recently relegated Bangor City, with highly touted forward Owen re-joining the club from top flight rivals Aberystwyth Town.

Williams, said: “George has been with us since the start of pre-season and has been phenomenal. His attitude, his commitment, his desire to do well and his finishing in front of goal has been up there with the best I’ve seen.

“Myself and my management team are excited to see George develop further as he’s still only twenty years of age, but again is as clinical as anyone I’ve seen in front of goal.

“I’ve been trying to sign John for three years, ever since we played together at Caersws where he scored thirty-odd goals in that particular season. He has everything a modern day forward requires.

He’s strong, quick, skilful, powerful and has explosiveness in abundance. He enjoys the environment we’ve built and our ambitions matches his own.”

The club also confirmed that midfielder Jay Gibbs has been released, with Williams adding: “Jay has been struggling with commitment and with the standards the squad of players we now have here at Llandudno Football Club demand, regardless of the management team, it’s frustrating that Jay hasn’t been able to match the commitment required.

“Jay leaves on good terms and we thank him for his efforts and wish him well in future.”
