LLANGEFNI Town have been handed a home tie against Llanberis in the Mawddach Cup first round.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One side are expected to challenge for multiple honours thanks to their immensely talented squad, and Chris Roberts’ men will look to progress against a side they come up against on the first day of the third-tier campaign on Saturday.

Another eye-catching encounter sees recently relegated Llandudno Junction welcome Llanrwst United to the Arriva Stadium, with current holders Llandudno Albion hosting Nantlle Vale at the Giant Hospitality Stadium.

Holyhead Town and Gaerwen will be looking to cause upsets when they travel to Penrhyndeudraeth and St Asaph City respectively, with plenty of local pride at stake for Llandyrnog United and Llannefydd in their cup clash.

Division Two champions Prestatyn Sports and Llanrug United have received first round byes, and fixtures are due to be played on Saturday, November 3.
