LLANRWST United continued their Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One improvement with a 6-0 victory at Llandudno Junction.

The Rwsters endured a difficult start to the campaign but they have now found their feet with their second win in succession against a youthful Junction side who are still adjusting to the third tier.

Two goals apiece from the prolific Aron Hughes and Leighton Griffiths did the majority of the damage, with Elliot Llewelyn and Jack Parry also on target for the visitors during a dominant attacking effort.

Llandudno Albion turned in a lacklustre display in their heavy 6-1 loss at early pacesetters Nantlle Vale.

A brace from Shaun Williams put the home side in the ascendancy before Lee Ellis pulled one back for Darren Jones’ side, but Vale restored their two-goal cushion after the break when Daniel Evans finished well.

This opened the floodgates in the closing stages, with Gary Edwards (2) and Rob Daniel rounding off a miserable afternoon at the office for the title hopefuls.

Division Two championship favourites Glan Conwy were left undone by a poor second half display in their 4-2 home reverse to Gaerwen.

Jamie Jones and Jordan Phillips struck in the final five minutes of the half to cancel out Gethin Davies’ opener for the away side, but Dylan Williams, Connor Jordan and Phil McGrath all hit the net late on to ensure the hosts had nothing to show for their efforts.

A late Scott Roberts strike was not enough to rescue a share of the spoils for Mochdre Sports in their 2-1 defeat at Llannerchymedd, but there was better fortune for Penmaenmawr Phoenix, who had a stoppage time leveller from Paul Wilson to thank for their 2-2 home draw with Pentraeth.
