THE start of the new North Wales League season has been delayed for a fortnight.

Following heavy rain over recent weeks, the league’s management committee has agreed a two-week delay to the start of the campaign, which was originally scheduled for April 20.

This decision has been guided by the league’s pitch advisor and a club survey, where clubs had ranked their season readiness.

As a result, fixtures set for the end of April will be rescheduled and the season is to be extended by a week, through until September 22.

The Premier Division T20 competition will change its format to release two Saturdays in July for league fixtures.

For all other divisions, a round of fixtures will be scheduled for August 26.
