Theron from Eastern Province, now the Warriors, made his first-class debut in November 2005, appearing against KwaZulu Natal.

He soon showed his potential and developed into an important member of the Warriors side, leading the team in the bowling charts in both first-class and List A competitions in 2008.

In 2008 Theron represented the South African A side and his performances for Warriors led to him being awarded the MTN Domestic Championship Cricketer of the Year award in Cricket South Africa's 2008 Mutual Federal SA Cricket Awards and during the same year, he played English club cricket for Staffordshire-based club Audley.

In 39 first class matches and 50 innings up to now, Theron has scored 547 runs, with a highest score of 66 so he will be handy with the bat in the Liverpool and District Cricket Compettition while in the same matches/innings he has taken 130 wicklets at an average of 22.65.
