FOOTBALL fever hit Llandudno, as local youngsters and their families headed to the McDonald's open day.
The event, held at Ysgol Y Creuddyn on June 27, kicked off at 10am. It is one of many free, family community football days taking place around the country this summer.
It offered families throughout Llandudno the chance to meet Liverpool legend Phil Neal. Youngsters were given the opportunity to have their skills seen by one of the most celebrated coaches in English football.
The event was free of charge, and forms part of McDonald's Community partnership with The FA, which aims to inspire youngsters to give the game a go, and to improve their skills through a series of interactive coaching sessions and mini-tournaments.
Families and friends were also encouraged to join in the fun and were invited to try their hand at coaching or to sign up as a club volunteer.
Meirion Williams from Penrhyn Bay FC said: "We're delighted to be involved with the McDonald’s football open day with both McDonald's restaurants in Llandudno and we know from experience that they're a great way for our community to celebrate and share its passion for football."
"It was great to have Phil Neal will be joining in with us and we're looking forward to welcoming as many people as possible, whether their passion is as a young player, coach or volunteer," he added.
