Llandudno 185-8
Hawarden Park 71 all out
Llandudno won by 114 runs

A five-wicket haul for Ajay Dhawan took Llandudno to the brink of title success after another convincing victory, this week against Hawarden Park.

Tudno didn’t let the early setback of losing Sam Rimmington and Jordan Kane spoil their innings, as Steve Smith(44) and Gordon Kerr pushed the score to 60.
Aled Williams (44) added 37 with Kerr and 49 with Kevin James.

James, Elgan Williams and Luke Regan all reached double figures to get Llandudno to 185 for eight from 54 overs.

Dhawan then stole the show, putting in an outstanding performance of five wickets for just seven runs Hawarden stood up to Llandudno’s openers until the tenth over, when Jack Rimmington made the breakthrough, having Michael Parton caught behind by his brother Sam at wicket keeper.

Kerr took a wicket in the next over, and then took two more in his 9th  before being replaced by Dhawan, who immediately made an impact.

Two wickets in his first over, followed by three stumpings in combination with Sam Rimmington, saw Dhawan decimate the Hawarden tail end, who finished 114 runs short of their target.

The result leaves champions elect Llandudno 113 points clear at the top of the table.

Denbigh 124 all out
Llandudno II 65 all out
Denbigh won by 59 runs

Llandudno II managed to frighten top of the table Denbigh, but couldn’t stay at the crease long enough to inflict a suprise result.

Three strikes for Andy Christian saw Denbigh drop to 28 for three, but the hosts rallied at the fourth wicket to restore some credibility to their innings. Graham Boase took the key wicket of skipper Ben Wilcox-Jones with the score on 93 for six, before taking top scorer Will Affleck six runs later as Denbigh posted 124 all out.

But despite keeping the league leaders to a low score, some fine bowling from Denbigh ended any hopes of an upset, as Tudno  slumped to 42 for seven from 24 overs.

Andy Christian and Dave Edwards put up a spirited resistance in looking for the draw, but could only last until the 38th over before Edwards was dismissed, leading to the seconds being all out for 64.

Llandudno III 209-7
Mochdre III 95 all out
Llandudno III won by 114 runs

Llandudno thirds secured the North Wales League Division Five title with a comprehensive win over Mochdre thirds.

Captain Joe Lambe led the way with 70, supported by Laurence Clair, Neil Gallagher and Jack Thornton, who all passed the 20 mark.

An unbeaten 53 stand from young George Thomas and Abi Sharma then took the score to 209 for seven from 45 overs.

With the ball, Thornton took center stage, taking four wickets for 20 from his seven overs as Mochdre were bowled out for 95 runs.

His brother Tom took one for 14, 15 year-old Haydn Ballinger took one for eight and veteran Gallagher took two for three.
