Meliden 1 Mochdre Sports 3

A MATT GILMORE double guided Mochdre Sports to their third win on the bounce, beating Meliden 3-1.

Gilmore netted his first for the afternoon just ten minutes in, before doubling his total five minutes before the break to give Sports a two goal lead at the interval.

Sion Heap added a third ten minutes from time, before Andy Jones bagged a consolation five minutes from time for Meliden.

Mochdre will now be looking to extend their winning run when they travel to bottom of the table Brynford United this weekend.

Rhos United 1 Llansannan 2

RHOS UNITED were unlucky to lose a bad tempered tussle with Llansannan, going down to two late goals.

After dominating the first half but failing to convert their chances, Rhos deservedly took the lead on the hour mark when Ed Haley was felled in the box, allowing Gaz Williams to send the keeper the wrong way from the spot.

Llansannan got their break however when a failed clearance fell to a seemingly offside Arfon Davies, who fired home the equaliser.

Rhos were further aggrieved five minutes from time when keeper Ben Wheeler collected a corner only to drop the ball under a heavy challenge, allowing Euro Lloyd to smuggle the ball home in the resulting scramble.

Despite protests from the Rhos team the goal stood, with United dropping to third in the table following the defeat.
