SKIING SENSATION Seb Marshall took to the slopes in Switzerland last week to compete in the Welsh Alpine Championships.
The young skiier, who trains on the dry slope in Llandudno, took on more than 100 competitors in the slalom and giant slalom events, completing both runs of the former event and unfortunately falling on his second run of the latter.
Seb, from Dyserth, also competed against his godfather Ian Roberts, originally from Llandudno, at the event, and will continue training on artificial slopes throughout the year before racing overseas next season.
Sale Men’s 1sts 2 Llandudno Men’s 1sts 2
Llandudno Men's Hockey team came from behind twice to snatch a late draw against Sale thanks to goals from Martin Williams and Paul Broadhurst.
Both teams struggled during the early stages on a hard and bouncy pitch due to the cold weather, but the home side settled first and soon took the lead.
Llandudno bounced back almost immediately, with Williams sliding in at the back post to tap in a rebound after Tom Simpson’s effort was saved.
After the break Sale retook the lead and looked to be holding on for the win until a well worked move and excellent finish from Broadhurst equalised matters eight minutes from time.
Both teams had a chance to win the game late on but a point each means they stay level in the table, with Llandudno leading in fifth due to a better goal difference.
