COLWYN Bay 3rds earned a momentous victory at Hightown on Sunday, keeping their title hopes alive at the top of the Liverpool Premier League.
After batting first on a wicket drenched by a torrential downpour and making just 79 all out, only skipper Mike McDonagh (20) and Wasim Ali (11) went to double figures with four under-13s contributing 17 between them.

Bay then put Hightown to the sword at 35 for 5 after Keith Pickering picked up four wickets, two great catches by Tom Roberts and Tom Clarke who also took three wickets and Mike McDonagh's persistence paid off with three late wickets including clean bowling the last man and Hightown were 60 all out.

A total of 20 points for the Bay mean they keep in contact with top team Orrell.
