COLWYN Bay manager Alan Morgan has agreed for Jamie Rainford to go out on a month’s loan to Droylsden ahead of Saturday’s home game against Radcliffe Borough (3pm).

The talented striker, who has scored seven goals in 20 appearances for the Seagulls this season, has been out of action for a number of weeks with injury and the move will allow the frontman to get some much-needed minutes ahead of the run-in.

Morgan has warned his Bay side against complacency a Radcliffe side that have lost five of their last six games and have dropped into the bottom two in the table following last weekend’s 6-0 home defeat against Glossop North End.

Only Evo-Stick Northern Division basement dwellers Goole have conceded more league goals this season, but the Bay boss stated that counts for nothing when the two sides meet this weekend.

He said: “Whether they lost 6-0, won 6-0 or lost 10-0 last weekend it doesn’t matter, we’ve got to make sure we turn up in the right frame of mind.

“If we turn up thinking we are going win that’s when results don’t work your way.”

The Seagulls should have everybody available, except Rainford, and Elliot Rokka, who was Radcliffe’s Young Player of the Year last season before being signed by Tranmere Rovers, is one of four members of the Bay squad who played for Saturday’s opponents last season along with Jack Hindle, Lassana Mendes and Kris Leigh.

This is seen as a fantastic opportunity for Morgan’s side to make some ground on their playoff rivals, with Glossop taking on Trafford and Clitheroe clashing with Prescot Cables.
