LLANDUDNO have been tasked with starting their North Wales Cricket League Premier Division season with a difficult trip to St Asaph.

Jack Rimmington’s side relinquished their title to Bangor last season and face a tough start to their campaign on Saturday, April 21, with the city side one of the surprise packages last term under the leadership of skipper Will Ryan.

Their task will be made harder by the fact that influential overseas star Robin Smith will not be turning out at The Oval this season after deciding to pursue a coaching opportunity in the United States.

Defending title holders Bangor go in search of a second consecutive crown and begin by entertaining Gresford, while runners-up Menai Bridge will be looking to make a huge statement when they take on newly promoted Northop.

Denbigh will be working under a new captain this season in the hope of gaining similar success, and Harrison Jones will begin his time at the helm when his ambitious team welcome Connah’s Quay to Ystrad Road.

Another newcomer will also be on their travels as Pwllheli travel to Brymbo, while Hawarden Park will host Chirk.
