A TALENTED young cricketer has received a sponsorship deal ahead of the new season.

Arran Sen, a Year 7 pupil at Rydal Penrhos School, will be supported by equipment supplier Viz Sports for the upcoming campaign as he looks to gain further regional honours as part of the Lancashire youth set-up.

He has been given a special bat to use throughout a busy series of fixtures following the Easter break as part of the deal.

Asim Rahman, CEO at Viz Sports, said: “At Viz Sports, we always want to support up and coming cricketers who are full of potential.

“Within this unique sponsorship opportunity, we offer our quality products to allow young players to use the best equipment as well as other benefits.

“We feel this helps aspiring cricketers achieve their ambitions from school cricket all the way to the international arena.

“We are proud to sponsor Arran Sen who has shown great talent and promise for the future of English Cricket. Arran and his school have our full support and wishes.”

The 12-year-old is currently in the middle of a training programme with the county squad ahead of possible selection to the U12 squad, and he has also been training with the Colwyn Bay side who operate in the Liverpool and District Cricket League Premier Division.

After initially starting with the U13 training, coaches at the club were impressed with his initial progress and have now moved him up to U15 level despite his tender age in what has been an extremely promising young career to date.
