LLANDUDNO Junction mounted a stunning fightback to secure a 3-3 draw with title chasing Airbus Broughton.

The Huws Gray Alliance basement dwellers picked up just their third point of the season against the Wingmakers after another spirited display on home soil, and Iain Bennett’s side have another chancer to claim their first league victory when they entertain Holyhead Hotspur on Saturday.

Despite the eventual result things did not begin well for the Railwaymen, and they fell behind after just eight minutes when the in-form Ryan Edwards continued his exceptional goalscoring run with another neat finish.

Things got even worse soon after when goalkeeper Keighan Jones turned the ball into his own net on 25 minutes to double the visitors’ advantage, but Junction were given a lifeline before the break when Jordan Kane reduced the arrears with a well-timed strike.

After the interval saw the away side restore their two-goal cushion when Oliver Lanceley diverted an effort past Jones on 57 minutes, but this was not enough to give them all three points thanks to a sensational turnaround from the hosts.

Adam Eden got them back into the game on 65 minutes after a significant period of pressure, and they managed to claim a share of the spoils on 83 when James Hobson levelled matters in dramatic fashion to give them what could be a vital point at the end of the season.

Following their clash with the Holy Islanders they end the year with a trip to Porthmadog on December 30, before going to fellow strugglers Caersws on January 6.
