LLANDUDNO Junction’s search for a first Huws Gray Alliance win of the season goes on as they fell to a heavy 7-0 victory at Porthmadog.

The Railwaymen endured another difficult afternoon on their travels during what was their 13th loss in 16 second tier contests, and Iain Bennett’s side face a critical clash at Caersws on Saturday who lie just five points above them in the standings.

The home side got off to a good start and they took the lead on ten minutes thanks to a sensational long-range effort from Ifan Emlyn, and they doubled their advantage on 14 when Bennett unfortunately put the ball into his own net.

After the break saw Port continue to dominate and their superb play was rewarded yet again after Junction’s Dean Seager had an effort chalked off for offside, with Julian Williams finishing well past Keighan Jones twice in quick succession on 65 and 67 minutes.

There was further cause for celebration when Gareth Jones Evans found the target on 70 minutes with a stunning drive, and Williams capped off a fine afternoon at the office with his hat-trick when he diverted a Sion Bradley cross into the net.

With the visiting defence all at sea, Port made it a magnificent seven a minute from time courtesy of the exceptional Bradley, who produced a super piece of skill before firing into the top corner for his tenth goal of the season to complete the rout.

Bennett’s men can take some solace from the fact that FC Queen’s Park were also on the end of a heavy 4-0 defeat at the hands of Airbus Broughton, but a loss to the Bluebirds this weekend would almost certainly condemn them to an instant return to the Welsh Alliance.
