LLANDUDNO Junction picked up their fourth point of the Huws Gray Alliance season with a creditable 1-1 home draw against FC Queens Park.

The Railwaymen have found life tough in the second tier but can count themselves unfortunate not to pick up their elusive first league win against their relegation rivals, and Chris Morrell’s men have just five games left to pull off an improbable great escape.

Next up for Junction is a trip to Holywell Town on Wednesday night, with Johnny Haseldin’s men still harbouring hopes of catching long-time leaders and title favourites Caernarfon Town and currently lie 16 points behind the Cofis with four games in hand.

Both goals came in the first half as the home side produced a marvellous spell which resulted in Jack Nettleton hitting the target to ensure there was all to play for at the break.

After the interval saw the hosts create numerous opportunities to get their noses in front, but they lacked a crucial cutting edge from their forward line and had to be content with a share of the spoils after a very positive display.

Things do not get any easier for Morrell’s side during the remainder of their run-in, with Junction still having to play Caernarfon Town, Flint Town United and struggling Caersws in what looks to now be a mammoth task to avoid an instant return to the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance.
