RELEGATED Llandudno Junction have one more opportunity to pick up their first Huws Gray Alliance win of the season after a 4-1 loss at Caersws.

The Railwaymen travel to FC Queens Park on Saturday for their last fixture before bowing out of the second tier after just one season, The Bluebirds began well and took the lead on 14 minutes when Richard Davies finished well, and the same player was on hand to double their advantage soon after.

Things got even worse for the visitors on the half hour mark when a thunderous strike from Davies secured his hat-trick after another prolonged period of pressure from the dominant hosts.

Credit to the young Junction side, they kept plugging away and got their reward with a consolation after the break, but their joy proved to be short-lived as the home side restored their three-goal cushion after 75 minutes thanks to a sensational effort from Elliot Jones to round off proceedings in fine style.

The result was Junction’s 23rd defeat in 27 league contests in what has been a very difficult campaign at the Arriva Stadium, which has seen them concede 113 goals and acquire just four points for their efforts.
