CONWY Borough manager Gareth Thomas expressed his delight after three key figures committed to the club.

The Tangerines boss announced that Dean Seager, Tom Creamer and Gethin Maxwell have all agreed to stay on at the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One champions, who will be joining the ultra-competitive Huws Gray Alliance after a one-season stay in the third tier.

All three played a significant role in their treble winning campaign, and the Boro manager is hoping they can continue their positive contribution against a higher standard of opposition next term.

Thomas, said: “These are the first of last season’s squad who are happy to stay and I am really pleased to be working with them again.

“Tommy was outstanding last season in his debut season at senior level, and will only improve. He will be a key player for us moving up a league.

“Dean signed for us in January and scored double figures in that time and proved whilst at Llandudno Junction that he can score goals in the Cymru Alliance.

“Gethin is another player who we feel is capable of stepping up to the demands of the Cymru Alliance. He was injured for the latter part of the season but will be fully fit come start of the season and his work rate is something we will need.

“I am delighted that the three of them have committed early and look forward to seeing them at pre-season training."

More announcements are expected in the coming days as Thomas looks to assemble a squad that is capable of re-establishing the Y Morfa side a force to be reckoned with in the second tier.
