COLWYN Bay came from behind twice to secure a 2-2 home draw with Bamber Bridge.

The Seagulls moved back into the top ten and are now ten points off the Evostik Northern Division playoff places ahead of their trip to Ossett Albion on Saturday (3pm).

Following a tight first half which brought little in the way of scoring opportunities, the visitors went ahead on 50 minutes through a Jamie Milligan penalty after Matthew Dudley had been felled in the box.

Recent loan signing from Tranmere Rovers Elliot Rokka marked his debut with a goal for the home side on 62 minutes, but Bridge went back in-front on 80 when Alistair Waddecar headed home a free-kick.

The introduction of another new signing Sam Ilesanmi brought fresh life into the Bay attack, and they managed to claim a share of the spoils on 90 minutes when a Will Booth delivery found its way into the net.

Manager Alan Morgan, said: “It was one of those games we could have won and we could have lost, but at the end of the day when you are 1-2 down with four minutes left, we’ll take a point – even though were still going for a win.

“I thought it was a really entertaining game in difficult conditions and I really enjoyed it. They are a good side, but I think we are too and we have to keep on building and striving to get better and better.”

“Elliot (Rokka) did well and scored and Sam (Ilesanmi) came on and made an impact. I’ve said to Sam when he comes on and gets a chance he’s got to make an impact and that’s what he did.

“I know what Elliot can do and I just want him to play with smile on his face and enjoy his football while he is with us. It doesn’t matter if you are in full-time training, you need your match fitness and that’s why he’s come to us. He was cramping up towards the end which is why we took him off.

“Astley (Mulholland) didn’t start because he has a bit of a groin strain and that pitch would have found him out. We brought Danny Collins in because he did well when he came on against Skelmersdale and has deserved a start.”
