LLANDUDNO have reinforced their squad with three signings at the start of the January transfer window.

The club have significantly bolstered their forward ranks with the additions of Marc Evans and Matty Williams, while there was also a shock addition to the squad as the team prepares for two crucial fixtures that will determine whether or not they can achieve a top six finish.

Prolific striker Evans officially received international clearance after a successful spell with Melville United, and the hitman is no stranger to the Giant Hospitality Stadium having been their top scorer during the Huws Gray Alliance title winning campaign.

Former TNS and Connah’s Quay Nomads forward Williams brings a wealth of experience to the club on-an-off the pitch, with the ex-Manchester United youth team product having been part of the backroom staff as assistant manager for a number of weeks.

He has been at the top of the Welsh pyramid for more than a decade and has also received clearance to feature in Saturday’s crucial home clash with Bala Town.

There was another surprise registration in the form of Tudno boss Iwan Williams, with the former club captain registering himself for the remainder of the campaign.

Ryan Edwards will be out of action for the foreseeable future due to an ankle injury, and the manager is looking to strengthen the squad further in the coming weeks as he continues to stamp his mark on the club since taking over.

Williams said: “We unfortunately lost Ryan Edwards to a nasty ankle injury against Bangor which is a blow so we need to look to strengthen further.

“We are actively working hard behind the scenes to freshen things up and bolster the current squad, and we are hopeful that a further signing could be announced as early as tomorrow which would strengthen our defensive and midfield options.”
