IMPROVING Llandudno Albion turned in another outstanding display to end the unbeaten Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One run of leaders Conwy Borough.

Gareth Thomas’ side were downed for the first time this season after suffering a 4-1 reverse at Y Morfa, and the result leaves them four points clear of Llangefni Town having played a game more than their title rivals.

The away side began the brighter of the two and they managed to get their noses in-front courtesy of an own goal on 15 minutes.

Things got even better for the visitors on 29 minutes when Callum Parry finished off a sweeping team move to double their advantage.

This same pattern of play continued after the break for a dominant Albion, and they wrapped up the points on 49 minutes when the in-form David Maddock made it seven in his last three games with another well-taken finish.

The rampant away side were now in complete control of proceedings and the sensational Ricky Jones capped off a supreme individual display with a fourth on the hour mark.

Gradually the Tangerines began to see more of the ball after a dismal display, and the prolific Corrig McGonigle missed an opportunity to get them back into the contest on 75 minutes when he failed to find the net from the penalty spot.

They did manage to get themselves a consolation goal through Jamie Roberts on 84 minutes, but it was too little, too late as Albion held on for a comfortable success which sees them move into the top six.
