LLANDUDNO received a boost ahead of their crunch trip to Bala Town with the news that Mike Williams has agreed an extension with the club.

The talented defender will remain at the Giant Hospitality Stadium until the end of the season after penning the deal earlier this week.

The 31-year-old has been a key member of Iwan Williams’ side since their promotion to the JD Welsh Premier League in 2015, going on to make a total of 85 appearances for the club in all competitions to date.

Williams, whose brother Marc is also a prominent figure within the squad, is a former professional with experience at Wrexham, Kidderminster Harriers and Altrincham.

He has been one of Tudno’s standout performers again this term and has been a key contributing factor in securing three clean sheets in succession as they look for a return to the top six.

The centre half, said: “Since the new management have come in they’ve begun to lay some good foundations here again moving forward, and I’m excited to continue to be a part of what feels like more good times heading our way.

“I’ve been happy here since the day I signed, and we’ve experienced some fantastic moments together which I’m hoping to add to here at this club, I’m glad we’ve been able to come an agreement before the first of two massive games as we look to secure that sixth spot.”
