LLANRWST United boosted their Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title hopes with a comfortable 3-0 win at struggling Trearddur Bay.

The Rwsters came out of the blocks flying and went ahead on six minutes through Matthew Mullender, and they doubled their advantage just before the break when Elliot Llewelyn found the net on 36.

Shortly after the break saw the Rwsters complete the scoring when the prolific Mike Lundstram continued his excellent campaign with another strike, and they are now just two points behind leaders Conwy Borough having played a game more than their rivals.

Division Two frontrunners Glan Conwy were made to work hard before eventually securing a valuable 2-1 triumph at Meliden.

Jamie Jones’ second minute effort was cancelled out by Matthew Griffiths on 43, but Jones managed to claim three points for his side by converting from the spot on the hour mark leaving them 16 points clear of Prestatyn Sports having played nine more league games.

Improving Mochdre Sports moved up to 11th following a dramatic 3-2 home success over Pentraeth, with Jordan Phillips giving them an early lead on, and after Traeth had pegged them back substitute Scott Roberts put them back ahead on 75 minutes.

The visitors looked to have claimed a share of the spoils with an equaliser on 89 minutes, but a frantic finish saw Sports claim a stoppage time winner courtesy of Bobby Tudor.

There was no such luck for Penmaenmawr Phoenix, who had only consolation efforts from Liam Griffiths and Tom Paddock to show from their 6-2 reverse at promotion hopefuls Bodedern Athletic.
