LLANDUDNO manager Iwan Williams has continued his squad transformation with the loan signing of Joe Heath from Connah’s Quay Nomads.

The experienced defender, aged 29, featured ten times for SkyBet Championship side Nottingham Forest after being released by Manchester United, and has also turned out for Lincoln City, Hereford United, Chester, and Runcorn before making the move to the Nomads in 2017.

Williams, said: “I can’t express my gratitude to Andy (Morrison) enough with regards to the relationship I currently have with him, he’s done me a favour in allowing Joe to join us until the end of the season and it allows me to have that extra bit of stability at the back, especially with Mike’s (Williams) current niggles.”

Heath has been granted permission by Quay to feature in the JD Welsh Cup, and will also remain at the Giant Hospitality Stadium should Tudno reach the Europa League Play-Offs, although he will not feature should we be pitted against his parent club.

These hopes suffered a significant blow with their 4-1 loss at Barry Town United on Saturday, where the visitors were comfortably beaten despite taking the lead early on.
