LLANDUDNO Amateurs have been crowned Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Division One champions with a thumping 7-1 win at Llanrwst United Reserves.

The away side secured the crown thanks to a dazzling first half display, which saw Todd Davies, Mike Lauchlan, Aaron Rogers and Sean Sharp all hitting the target.

They followed this up with three more after the interval through Mark Kelly (2) and David Hughes, to round off another superb overall display to seal promotion.

Llandudno Athletic confirmed their runners-up spot with a resounding 4-0 home triumph over St Asaph City Reserves.

A two-goal salvo from Jamie Moorhouse did the majority of the damage, with Danny Talbot and Jack Williams also on target.

Ryan Williams’ dramatic strike on 89 minutes was enough to give Denbigh Development a 2-1 home success over Betws-y-Coed, while Scott Court and Sam Gallagher netted for Rhos United in their 2-1 victory over Rhuddlan Town.

Kinmel Bay are now one win away from the Premier Division title thanks to a resounding 6-1 success at Llansannan.

The away side produced a scintillating start which was the catalyst behind their victory, and they went ahead on 15 minutes when Danny Campbell burst clear and finished well.

Campbell was on hand yet again to double their advantage after 20 minutes, and this was swiftly followed be another courtesy of Tom Galvin on 22 after another period of sustained pressure.

After the interval saw Gari Evans’ side reduce the arrears when Dafydd Owen hit the target seven minutes after the restart, but this was met by an instant response from the visitors through Ben Cawley.

Kie Ellis wrapped up the contest with a well-taken strike after 57 minutes, and another sensational attacking move saw Cawley help himself to his second of the afternoon to round off the scoring.

Llanfairfechan Town boosted their hopes of a top two finish with a 2-0 home win over Machno United, while Old Colwyn eased their relegation fears thanks to a thrilling 5-4 home victory over Cerrigydrudion.
