COLWYN Bay are continuing their support of foster carers and their families throughout the region thanks to an ongoing initiative.

The Seagulls have confirmed that they will once again be giving complimentary season tickets for anyone within the Conwy Fostering Services scheme for the 2018/19 campaign ahead of Foster Care Fortnight, which takes place from May 14-27.

This is the Fostering Network’s annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and to show how foster care transforms lives.

Every 20 minutes, a child comes into care in need of a foster family – so there is a desperate need for more people in the Conwy borough to become foster carers for children in the area.

The network will be holding an informal information evening for those interested in fostering or would like to have some further information regarding Conwy Fostering Services.

It will take place at the Glan y Don Civic Centre on Abergele Road in Colwyn Bay on Thursday, May 24, and will run from 5-6pm.

Anyone in attendance with be able to have an informal chat with Conwy Fostering Service staff and foster carers from the area to talk about their experience within the programme.

Anyone requiring further information should email fostering@conwy.gov.uk or call 01492 576350.
