RHYL Youth closed out their Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division campaign with an impressive 2-1 win at Llansannan.

The young Lilies’ turned in another stylish display to emerge with three points on their travels, and they opened the scoring shortly after the half hour mark when Cam Parry’s effort found the net on 33 minutes.

After the break saw the home side pile on significant pressure in the search of a leveller, but the visiting defence held firm and they managed to double their advantage two minutes from time when a quick counter-attack resulted in Josh Brown converting a chance.

Gari Evans’ side responded well and reduced the arrears immediately following the restart when Aled Williams finished, well but they left themselves too much to do in the closing stages to ensure the third placed side lost their sixth game of the season, while the Lilywhites end the campaign in fifth.

Rhuddlan Town concluded their first season back in Division One with a resounding 6-3 triumph at Llanfairfechan Town Reserves.

A hat-trick from the prolific Andy Booker did the majority of the damage, with a Callum Roberts brace and a solitary Corey Taylor effort completing the rout.

Big things are expected of Town next season following their debut success within the division, where they ended in fourth position and just behind Llanrwst United Reserves, who had goals from Zach Williams (3) and Stephen Parry to thank for a 4-2 home triumph over Llandyrnog United Reserves.
