LLANDUDNO have confirmed that three players have departed the club as manager Iwan Williams continues to re-shape the squad.

Midfielder Aaron Hassall, who joined at the start of the season but has found his first team opportunities limited, has returned to former club Denbigh Town who are currently challenging at the Huws Gray Alliance summit under Eddie Maurice-Jones.

Williams, said: “Azza has been great for me since I’ve come in. He’s a bit of a maverick and has shown glimpses of what a great player he can become in the near future if he continues to work hard.

“We feel that it’s the right move for Azza at this moment in time as it will give him some consistent game time at Denbigh which is what he needs at his age to further his development.”

Williams’ former club Caernarfon Town also announced the transfer of Shaun Cavanagh to his hometown club, and Williams stated it was an opportunity too good for him to turn down.

“Shaun has been as reliable and loyal as they come,” he added.

“He’s been patient and when his chance came he helped us massively in collecting four vital points against Bangor City which has given us renewed hope of reaching the top six.

“His professionalism and endeavour is amongst the best I’ve come across at his age but when the opportunity arose for him to join his hometown club, I felt it was an opportunity for him not to take.”

Forward Owain Jones has been released from his contract by mutual consent.
