LLANDUDNO manager Iwan Williams has rung the changes at the goalkeeper position as he continues to reshape his squad.

The club confirmed the acquisition of former Peterborough, Wycombe, and Chester stopper Alex Lynch arrived at the Giant Hospitality Stadium with just hours of the January transfer window to spare.

The 22-year-old ex-U17 Welsh International hails from Holyhead and comes with a fine reputation across the region and beyond.

Williams, said: "It's fantastic to bring someone of Alex's calibre to Llandudno Football Club.

“With the experience he has at his young age it was a no brainer in bringing him in as he will further strengthen us going in to the second phase.

“I have no doubt Alex will enjoy his time with us and be a success. He has all the attributes a keeper requires at this level, and even at a higher level."

This was swiftly followed by the news that keeper Dave Roberts has departed the club and joined Huws Gray Alliance promotion hopefuls Airbus Broughton.

Roberts leaves as Tudno’s record appearance holder in the JD Welsh Premier League with 85 appearances, and 92 in total.

A club statement, said: “The club would like to wish Dave all the best with his future career and thank him for his service during his time here at Llandudno.”
