TOP scorer Marc Williams announced he will leave Llandudno after three successful seasons in the JD Welsh Premier League.

The former Welsh U21 international announced the move on Twitter this week, and Dean Jones takes a look at his possible landing spot next season.

Caernarfon Town:

The Cofis are now an attractive position for any player thanks to their promotion to the top flight, and Williams does have a connection to manager Sean Eardley, who worked with the forward at Tudno.

One negative on this move would be the form of Danny Brookwell, Darren Thomas and Jamie Breese, who are a formidable front three that have all enjoyed sensational campaigns, and deserve their chance to prove their worth in the top flight.

Despite this, Williams would provide big game experience, with many of the Town squad yet to experience the rigours of a WPL season.

Colwyn Bay:

Williams is no stranger to the Seagulls, having captained them before his move to the Giant Hospitality Stadium, where current Bay boss Alan Morgan made him a pivotal part of the Tudno set-up.

The pair developed a strong relationship and this would be a beneficial move for all parties involved, give the quality Williams possesses and the need for creativity within the Bay squad.

Much will undoubtedly depend on when they can secure promotion and a chance in the playoffs, but this is another destination that could be seriously considered.

Aberystwyth Town:

Now Aber have all-but secured their top-flight status, the onus will be on Nev Powell to strengthen during an extremely important summer for the club.

Williams is guaranteed to get goals and create whenever he goes, and he would be a significant upgrade on a Town attack that has managed 42 league goals this season.

Cefn Druids:

The Ancients have enjoyed a remarkable season, not only securing their top six WPL status but also firmly establishing themselves within the division despite goals being somewhat of a problem.

Having someone with the ability to conjure something out of nothing such as Williams is something they have lacked at times throughout the campaign, and should their budget allow then the striker is someone they should be seriously considering if they want to build on their best ever top flight season under Huw Griffiths.
