LLANDUDNO have announced a series of pre-season fixtures as they begin preparations for the next JD Welsh Premier League campaign.

Manager Iwan Williams has lined up some high profile opposition that are sure to test his squad fully before they attempt to improve their top-flight fortunes next term.

They begin their schedule on Saturday, July 14 when Tudno welcome 1874 Northwich to The Giant Hospitality Stadium, before travelling to newly promoted SkyBet Championship side Wigan Athletic on July 28.

This will be followed by a midweek home clash with League One playoff finalist Shrewsbury Town on Wednesday, August 1, and they will also entertain Shaw Lane on August 4.

The Tudno boss, who is preparing for his first full season at the helm, is working hard behind the scenes to secure more friendly fixtures that will be announced in due course.

It promises to be a busy summer of transfer activity at the club as Williams looks to bring in fresh faces that match his style of play, with influential brother Marc and Mike Williams released to free up funds for more arrivals.

Midfield talisman Danny Hughes and forward Toby Jones have already committed to the club for the forthcoming season, while there are rumours that Kai Edwards will soon join from Connah’s Quay alongside brothers Zyaac and Zebb from Prestatyn Town.

Their pursuit of Noah Edwards looks to have failed however, with the talented playmaker reportedly agreeing to link up with former boss Neil Gibson and manager Andy Morrison at The Nomads.
