LLANDUDNO have begun a busy summer of transfer activity with the high-profile signings of Kai Edwards and Michael Pearson from JD Welsh Premier League rivals Connah’s Quay.

Manager Iwan Williams confirmed the news on Monday, May 21, with the defenders set to significantly improve a back-line that recently lost the services of influential centre half Mike Williams.

Edwards, aged 27, is set to be joined at the Giant Hospitality Stadium by brothers Zebb and Zyaac, who are also believed to have joined Tudno from recently relegated Prestatyn Town.

Both played a huge part for Andy Morrison’s men last term, who recorded the best defensive record in the top flight after conceding 29 goals throughout the campaign.

Williams, said: “The signings of both Kai and Peo (Pearson) are huge for us as a football club and they just epitomise what we want at this club.

“Fantastic players and whom have a wealth of experience in the league. More importantly they are good characters that will hopefully put on us on a path to where we want to go.”

The Pioneer understands that uncertainty surrounds the future of talented full-back James Joyce, who is believed to be going on trial at Crewe Alexandra ahead of a possible move to link uo with former boss Alan Morgan at nearby Colwyn Bay.
