LLANDUDNO manager Iwan Williams has bolstered his attacking options with the signing of Dan Westwood.

The former Stafford Rangers striker penned a deal at the Giant Hospitality Stadium earlier this week, and he becomes the latest big-name signing for a club that is looking to improve their JD Welsh Premier League fortunes next term.

Westwood comes with a fine goalscoring pedigree in the English pyramid system and his arrival looks set to compensate for the loss of Marc Williams, who was recently released.

He is no stranger to the Tudno faithful having scored twice against them during a pre-season friendly last summer.

Williams, said: "Dan is exactly the striker we’ve been looking for. He’s quick, athletic, and has goals in abundance.

“He came to prominence in the Midlands where he scored five consecutive hat-tricks in which the fifth landed on non-league day in which he received publicity for on Match of the Day. He has since spent time with Telford and Stafford Rangers.

“After meeting with him on a couple of occasions he seems to be a great lad who will fit well into our changing room. What’s refreshing is that he wanted to come to Llandudno Football Club and take the Welsh Premier League by storm.

“The club has been crying out for hard working goalscorers’ and in Damian Ketley and Dan Westwood we have two industrious strikers who will work hard for the cause and epitomise the identity we’re hoping to create next season."
