LLANDUDNO Sailing Club finally took to the water for the start of the new season.

The ‘First Out’ Trophy took place on Sunday, March 25 after a frustrating few weeks thanks to the adverse weather conditions, and the usual racing fleet was supplemented by the very welcome attendance of the youth Topper development squad which swelled the overall sailing numbers to 18 boats.

The three-race trophy was a chance to dust off the cobwebs and limber up after the long winter lay-off. Paul Moreton was the eventual winner in his Supernova after being pressed all the way by Carl and Shirley Jones in their Scorpion.

Finishing in third place was Peter Fisk sailing steadily and consistently in his Solution.

This is the first in a series of senior and junior races throughout what promises to be a busy season at the club, who continue to achieve regional and national successes across a variety of different age groups.
