There may be a lot of early risers in the Conwy county on Saturday morning as two athletes from the area will compete for the first time on an international stage.
Weightlifters, Holly Knowles (Penrhyn Bay) and Harry Misangyi (Conwy), will both compete on Saturday, April 7 on the Gold Coast in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The pair kicked off the games with Welsh team mates this morning with the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
They will now have a short wait before competing for their chance at a Gold medal in the early hours of Saturday morning, our time.
Knowles will be taking part in the women's 63kg weightlifting event, which will begin at 5am on Saturday morning. While Misangyi will follow at 9.30am in his event, the Men's 85kg.
