RGC star Will Bryan stressed their importance of winning at home following their impressive 55-26 win over Cross Keys.

The Gogs were at their ruthless best in the second period which proved to be the catalyst behind their victory, and they remain in the Principality Premiership title picture ahead of their trip to championship rivals Cardiff on Bank Holiday Monday.

Bryan, said: “After half time we got the early score and even though they came back we settled down in the last quarter and played some good rugby. It is a big pitch so we used the ball and space well.

“We have some depth in the squad and that’s important over the next week, with some tough games coming up. Some boys came off the bench today and put in a good shift which will give some selection choices to Mark (Jones) and Phil (John).

“It is Cardiff on Monday, so we have a recovery plan in place before travelling down on Sunday for the game, and it will be another test on the road for us.”

Jones’ men have enjoyed a memorable season in the top flight once again, but face a hugely critical run-in as they attempt to add more silverware to their collection.
