IMPROVING Llandudno caused a stir at the WRU National League Division One North summit with a sensational 20-7 victory at Bala.

The away side were completely dominant throughout against the title chasers, and they got their noses in-front early on when Dan Colclough crossed the white wash for the first score of the afternoon. Ryan Pike added the conversion.

This provoked a strong response from the hosts, who got back on level terms with a well-worked try shortly before the break, but the Goats responded well to the setback after the interval and regained the advantage when Pike broke through the Bala rearguard in fine style before touching down. He also added the extras.

Dudno sealed a standout victory through the second period thanks to a pair of penalties from the flawless Pike, who has been one of the league most consistent performers so far this season.

The result leaves Llandudno in fourth position, but the Goats face a stern test of their credentials when they next take the field on February 10 in their North Wales Cup clash with all-conquering Nant Conwy (1pm).
