CONWY Borough have announced that vice-chairman Craig Crossfield has stepped down from his role.
The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One leaders announced the news on Saturday, January 7, with Crossfield citing increasing business and family commitments as a reason for his departure.
Crossfield has held the position for the last five years and oversaw a number of key development at their Y Morfa ground, including a new function room which has become a significant part of the community.
A club statement which confirmed the news described Crossfield’s resignation as a “huge loss”, and it comes on the back of the departure of Geoff and Darren Cartwright and prior to the start of the season.
Gareth Thomas’ side have enjoyed a fine season to date and currently lead the Division One standings, despite their first loss of the campaign last week at home to Llandudno Albion.
They currently enjoy a slender one point cushion over promotion rivals Llangefni Town and have won all eight of their away fixtures thus far.
