CONWY Borough have significantly strengthened their forward line with the signing of Dean Seager.

The prolific striker arrives at Y Morfa from Huws Gray Alliance side Llandudno Junction, with manager Gareth Thomas confirming the signing following a training session on Monday, January 8.

Despite the Railwaymen struggling in the second tier this term, Seager has given a good account of himself and contributed six goals for a side that has yet to win a league game this season following promotion and parted ways with manager Iain Bennett on Saturday.

Seager is no stranger to the club having been part of the set-up in previous seasons, and he has also turned out for JD Welsh Premier League side Llandudno in what has been a promising young career to date.

He is now set to form a formidable strike partnership with Corrig McGonigle, who has widely been regarded as one of the most talented finishers operating outside of the top two divisions and has already notched 25 league goals for Gareth Thomas’ men.

The Tangerines are currently leading the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One standings after a memorable campaign to date as they look to make an immediate return to the HGA following their relegation last season.

Seager will look to aid his new side get back to winning ways after they suffered their first defeat of the campaign at home to Llandudno Albion last week, and he will turn out for the club for the first time when they clash with title rivals Llanrwst United on Saturday, January 27.
