CONWY Borough lifted the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title following their 2-1 home loss to Llanrwst United.

The Tangerines were in party mode despite the reverse after securing a memorable treble under manager Gareth Thomas, who has already begun preparing for life in the Huws Gray Alliance next term.

The Rwsters made a good start and took the lead midway through the half when Morgan Owen found the net, and the same player managed to notch his second shortly after with a fantastic finish on 35 minutes.

Boro got themselves back into the contest after the break when Corrig McGonigle halved the deficit after 58 minutes to take his league tally to a stunning 42 for the season, but they were unable to secure a share of the spoils and suffered just their fourth defeat in 28 games.

Llandudno Albion’s poor end of season form continued with a 2-1 reverse at Nantlle Vale.

Rhys Williams and Aaron Griffiths netted for the hosts either side of half time, with Brian Robbins levelling matters on 45 minutes for Paul Cheung’s men.

Mochdre Sports booked their place in the Take Stock Van Hire Cup final with an impressive 4-2 success over Nantlle Vale.

A brace from the impressive Jordan Phillips did the majority of the damage, with Scott Davies and Niall Owen also hitting the target.

They will play Bodedern Athletic in the showcase following their dramatic last 1-0 victory over Division Two leaders Prestatyn Sports.
