BARMOUTH and Dyffryn United picked up a huge Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One win with an impressive 2-1 home victory over Llandudno Albion.

The Magpies got off to a fast start and went ahead on eight minutes when Carl Ryan found the net, and things got even better after the break when Paul Lewis doubled their advantage after 77.

Paul Cheung’s side reduced the arrears a minute later through Conor Davies, but the hosts held on to pull themselves further clear of the struggling sides.

Goals from Andrew Barker and Kieron Jones were not enough to give Mynydd Llandegai three points as they drew 2-2 with Greenfield, while a Rhys Williams strike on 58 minutes gave Nantlle Vale a share of the spoils in their 1-1 stalemate with Llanrwst United.

A Meillir Williams effort five minutes from time gave Penrhyndeudraeth a 2-1 success over relegated Trearddur Bay, but there was no such luck for Llanberis, who fell to a 2-0 reverse at St Asaph City.

Llanfairpwll were unable to cause a stir at the Division Two summit as they were hammered 9-0 at champions-elect Prestatyn Sports, with Pentraeth also succumbing to a heavy 5-0 loss at Llannefydd.

Griff John, Iwan Owen and Dylan Jones were on target for Y Felinheli in their late 3-2 triumph at Blaenau Amateurs, and Shaun Monument struck on 88 minutes for Gaerwen in their encouraging 1-1 draw at in-form Meliden.
