ST ASAPH City are inviting applications for a new manager after Aled Davies left the post.
The outgoing Saints’ boss announced the decision on Monday, May 21 after a disappointing Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One campaign, which saw them finish in 12th spot and just seven points above the drop zone.
A club spokesman stated that they are “very grateful to Aled for his work as manager”, and he leaves the position after 18 months at the helm.
Prior to taking on the role of manager, the long-standing backroom staff member held the position of assistant manager and was part of the set-up that secured the Division Two title and subsequent promotion.
Davies will not be leaving the City side entirely, and will stay on at the club to play a role in its future development.
The Saints are looking for a “suitably qualified and motivated” man to take over the third tier side, who held a top half position for the majority of the season before a huge dip in form during the second half of the campaign.
Expressions of interest should be sent with a letter or cv to St Asaph City chairman John Roberts via email at aelygarth@gmail.com by Monday, May 28.
If you wish to discuss the role prior to applying that can be done using the above email address or by phoning Mr Roberts directly on 07867 640398.
