Afficionados of classical guitar can look forward to a double bill of technical excellence this month.
Colwyn's Bay finest finger smith Jonathan Richards will host two consecutive evenings showcasing both his own sublime skills as well as the brilliance of his own proteges.
On Friday, September 28 at 7.30pm Richards will introduce eight of his students for Jonathan Richards & Friends at the Prince's Drive Baptist Church in Colwyn Bay for a evening featuring renditions of works by composers including JS Bach, Handel and Schubert as well as some blues. Tickets are £5 - free for under 16s - and the event begins at 7.30pm.
The following evening, Richards will be joined by world famous Colwyn Bay guitar maker Robert Cross for an evening of Spanish and Latin guitar including pieces by Villa Lobos and Tarrega - along with original compositions - and a discussion on fashioning the perfect instrument.
The event takes place Pensychnant Nature Conservation Centre in Conwy at 7.30-pm. Admission is £7, with all proceeds being donated to the conservation Centre.
